The Mirror Cell - PLOP simulations with a central obstruction of 75mm (equal forces on the support points)
Computation with a true central obstruction of 75mm, allowing for refocus shift
By taking into account only the diameter of the secondary mirror (minor axis), the most optimistic values are generated. This does however not guarantee a fully illuminated field.
A better approach is to simulate with an effective central obstruction, computed as the real central obstruction minus the largest possible field stop (2"). If this yields a negative value, then compute with zero central obstruction.
The values in the following simulations have been computed while allowing for defocus compensation. This means that the computed designs will allow a different focus when pointed near horizon or near the zenit. Practically this means that you will need to refocus when aiming at different heights.
