Capital of Colombia, at 2600 metres above sea level, Santa Fe de Bogota lies within the oriental Andes cordillera, and resides on a plateau. The eastern border of this plateau is formed by the Cordillera; as a result the city has been expanding in a semicircular manner, where north-south is the fastest-growing direction. The photos in this album are from the mainly colonial city centre (La Candelaria) and also show some sunset and night shots taken from La Calera.
